The Channel Company outdid themselves this year. I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the conference. Lisa MacKenzie and her team organized an experience - not just a conference.
What did I love about it?
- A focus on the next generation! I lead a panel with amazing college and high school students. I loved that Sirius Computers invested and sponsored the event. My panel had 3 college students and one from high school. They shared their stories and who they admired the most. Most were teachers, or CIOs of top companies -- great role models!
- Great keynote speakers. From Coach Sue Enquist-- who taught us how to perform at our very best. She finished her 27 year old career with a 887-175-1 record, making her the winningest softball coach among all active coaches! I never thoughts I'd learn about high performance from a coach, but I did. But there were more -- a happiness coach, Dale Carnegie classes, and more.
- Networking that matters. Everyone at the conference is there to get to know others and help them. There are discussions around women helping others visualize their careers and more. We did smile exercises, brainstorming, and learning about each other on a personal level - an incredible experience.
- And of course, I was able to share the research and work on my book Extreme Innovation. I loved the comments and ideas from the audience -- from empathy for vendors and channel partners, and bots to help customer service. This audience was engaging and creative -- one of the best I have ever seen!!
