CHANGING YOUR OIL

Changing the oil in your car should be at the top of your list when it comes to maintaining your vehicle. Most 16-year-old teenagers (whose parents probably own the car) learn that changing the oil every 3,000 miles is one of the most important things to do when it comes to sustaining your car’s healthy life.?

With improvements and advances in automotive technology, newer cars are no longer requiring an oil change every 3,000 miles. Some conservative estimates range between changing out the oil from every 5,000 up to 10,000 miles driven.?

Those improvements include the oil filters now being able to remove chemicals and elements that previously endangered a car while improving adjacent parts such as the engine.?

Since the Covid-19 Pandemic, working remotely has become extremely popular and people are finding themselves not putting nearly the number of miles on their car as they previously had. In addition, almost all new cars come with an oil monitor to assist drivers with oil temperature and help gauge if the time has come for a change. ?

Factor that in with the improvements to modern oil along with synthetics which help with oil thickening, it protects your vehicle for much longer.?

Keeping your car engine lubricated with an oil that protects your vehicle is invaluable. Make sure you check your cars manual and speak with a licensed mechanic to make sure you’re following the correct procedures with oil changes. This will keep your car as healthy as possible…for as long as possible.?
