#7. Perfection v Action
We’re a small company with a never ending list of things to do and limited resources.? Sh*t just needs to get done and my belief it that action and execution is more important than perfection.? There is the obvious risk in this and yes, ?I and my colleagues have made mistakes – but I will always take responsibility for that.? I’m a big believer in ‘beg for forgiveness ..not permission’.? Get sh*t done, work at pace,? ‘good’ is often good enough and don’t feel I need to approve things.?? Please don’t get my wrong, I’m super passionate about what we do and the quality by which we do it.? I get annoyed when we get things wrong, but I don’t sweat the small stuff? – there is often bigger more important things to focus on and we've got limited time to invest.

#8.? Changing the World is my North Star
It may sound a little grand but don’t worry I’ve not disappeared up my own arse on this one.? Mother Theresa famously said? ‘if you want to change the world, come home and love your family’.? What a wonderful quote.? My co-founder at Clarity is my best friend and my wife of 31 years. Lorraine is a constant source of both support and inspiration. ?Lorraine and our three wonderful children are my rocks, they provide me with a foundation and stability for me to be my very best.? The love and support they have given me as undoubtedly created a better business.? Often with a very large and healthy dose of reality, they help ground me, help put everything into perspective and focus on what’s really important.? ??
If I can change the world by loving them – that’s a big enough lever for me.? ??

#9.? Innovate the Martini way
Growing up the Martini TV slogan? - was a anytime, anywhere, anyplace.?? My ‘innovate the Martini Way’ is that ideas can come at anytime, anywhere, anyone.?? Many customers remark on how creative and innovative Clarity are. ?We are, yet some of our best ideas,? programmes and events have come from a variety of sources;? clients, colleagues, friends, events, TV, books, holidays, dog walks, flights, podcasts? - the list is endless.?? Inspiration can come from anywhere, anyone, anytime – be open for when it may hit you and then execute it!
