Changing #TravelTrends: Indians seek more value for money????

According to various industry reports cited by media agencies, Indians are redefining their travel priorities in a big way, which is way more than the ‘revenge travel’ tag that media puts forth to describe the travel frenzy in the wake of a fast-receding pandemic.?More and more Indians are now looking at well-defined themes like climate-friendliness, wellness, and unique experiences for their travel motivation.

According to a TravelLifestyleNetwork survey, as many as 24% of Indians took at least one vacation every month in 2022, against the global average of 11%. Going forward, the enthusiasm is likely to know no bounds, unlike the cautious optimism of 2022, as a Kayak survey confirms: Of the 1,900 Indian traveler respondents, 78% are upbeat about travel as many as 60% of them are ‘curious travelers’ seeking offbeat venues.

  • In 2022, #Vietnam emerged as a hot favourite, with an average monthly rise of 51% in Indian tourists in the first 10 months of 2022
  • In 2023, #trendingdestinations could be S?o Paulo (Brazil), Budva (Montenegro), Puducherry (India), Queretaro (Mexico), and Bolzano (Italy), according to Booking.com, which further makes an interesting observation that 71% of Indian travelers are craving a culture shock in 2023
  • In terms of diverse cultural and linguistic exposures, as also an exploration of untapped tourism gems
