With our Indian launch of #RICSFutures later this week in Bengaluru, I wanted to talk about one of the key areas of our RICS Futures findings.
The massive global and business trends we see around us impact professionals most in terms of the skills they will need for the future. Learning new skills will be for both their personal careers and for the societies they serve.
For employers attracting and retaining talent was one of the issues of highest concern. There is a major role for all professions in built and natural environment sectors to help support employers in attracting and retaining a more diverse talent pool to run the businesses of the future.
Nowhere was the issue of skills more relevant than in India. With massive population growth, there is a major need for investment in infrastrucure and many pressures on the natural environment.
All of this growth will require skilled professionals trained in many disciplines, dealing with ever increasingly levels of complexity.

8 年Thanks Daniel for this interesting post. Indeed, "attracting and retaining a more diverse talent pool to run the business of the future" is certainly one of the biggest challenges for municipalities who want to go towards the concept of smart, safe and sustainable cities, or for MNC who want to transform and digitize their business.
