Background
Few weeks ago I was asked to assist in a project, which encountered significant problems concerning the delays and overspending. I was asked, if the change from classic to agile management would help to reach project objectives. Since the company did not have any experience in Agile project management, I recommended to close the project, train the staff and re-launch it as Agile project. But the question arises - "Is it possible to change the management style during the project management cycle"?
Considerations
In fact, I have never heard about a project, which would switch from classic to Agile, so it means, is it impossible? This is the question which I asked myself and I would like to ask you the same question. Could you please answer my short questionnaire?
How it should work
I will wait the result of my questionnaire and I will appreciate anyone answering my questions. I will also appreciate your proposals for:
- obstacles disabling this kind of switch of the management style (if you do not believe it should work)
- necessary steps to make it working (if you believe it can work in certain conditions)
If you want to know the result of my survey, please answer questions and leave me your contact. I want to prepare a short article and publish it on the Internet.

6 年Considero que el enfoque correcto fue el que planteaste en el artículo. Son dos marcos de referencia exitosos, aunque probablemente no deban mezclarse en el mismo proyecto. El punto clave , como sucede a menudo son las expectativas de los stakeholders...

6 年Interesante discusión. Que piensan ustedes? En mi opinión hay potencial en esto dependiendo del tipo de industria y de proyecto. No es posible generalizar, pero vale la pena analizarlo.

6 年It's important to understand that there is no such thing as "agile project management." Project management has always been agile (lowercase "a") and has been using "Agile" (uppercase "A") since well before the Manifesto for Agile Software Development was published.
