Changing face of Parramatta

Attached is a photo of the CBD in 2000.  17 years has seen some big changes to the Parramatta CBD skyline:

• Parramatta Square has not been started with strip retail on both sides of the rail station.
• 25 Smith Street is yet to be built along with 60 Station Street. 
• Residential market is predominantly low rise with V by Crown, Church Street Fire Station development and the Meriton towers are just in the planning stages.
• There is no Westfield’s extension with the cinema and bus terminal.
• The original Parramatta stadium in the background of the photo before it was demolished.

It will be interesting to see how the skyline will look in 17 years time.
