How many times did you use Google last year?
Likely every day.?
Have you ever been curious to learn what other people searched on Google?
Well, every year, Google puts together its annual “year in search” video highlighting the most commonly asked questions over the past 12 months.?
The video for 2022 ?is fascinating.
The key theme I noticed is about?personal change?and?evolution.??
I was pleasantly surprised by this theme.
It’s a theme I focus on whenever I work with leaders in my coaching practice or training programs.
Why??
Well, leadership is all about personal change and evolution.?
Leadership requires you to dig deep, learn how to bring your best self to work, and change habits that are not serving you or your team.?
Being a leader means you are no longer just responsible for yourself and your deliverables. You are also responsible for getting results through others.?
This fact can require a significant change in how you work and means that you will need to learn new skills and behaviors.?
For example, if you are an introvert and prefer working on your own, when you become a leader, you have to learn to collaborate with others, run effective one-on-ones and motivate your team to achieve their goals. Developing these skills can take years and lots of hard work for many leaders.
Behavioral change is never easy.
