Changes to the Legal Aid Act W8
New powers of the National Legal Aid Bureau, including interaction with the Supreme Bar Council, the Bar Councils, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice, the State Agency for Refugees, the State National Security Agency and with other state and municipal bodies in connection with the provision of legal aid.
The National Legal Aid Bureau will be able to request information relating to legal aid provided from lawyers, from bar associations, from the bodies of the judiciary and the Ministry of the Interior, from the National Revenue Agency, from the National Insurance Institute, and from others state and municipal authorities, which are obliged to provide it immediately and free of charge.
The Amendments and Supplements Act to the Legal Aid Act was promulgated in the State Gazette, issue 102, dated 23.12.2022.
