Changes
Everything in nature changes and never stays this same forever, it either evolves or perishes. It cannot be different with regards to business. After over three years my ONMAN journey comes to an end. This is one of those moments I would never expect to happen.
Different Changes
There are two types of changes from my experience. The ones, which are forced upon us by reality, and the ones we make ourselves. I believe the latter is always the most desired option to choose. Knowing that it did not change the fact it was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. It has never been the case whether someone was better or worse, whether someone has to leave or stay. ONMAN since its first days has been co-founded by four friends and kept this way over the time. We have been planning and executing together while learning through ups and downs how to work with each other and make things happen. However, last eight months I have been thinking more and more how each of us sees things differently.
Is it a Downpour or Drizzle?
I can compare the whole situation to the rain.
If we have two people looking at the rain and one of them says how horribly it pours down while the other one states what a beautiful drizzle we have today they end up in disagreement. The best thing is they are both right and can argue about that for the rest of the day. Rain is just rain and has no meaning or emotions behind it. We attached them to it and create our own interpretation of the fact.
A similar story took place with ONMAN. It's not that someone is good or bad, we just see things differently pulling in various directions and expecting various results. It took a while but I got to the moment, where we all stuck from time to time, namely
The hardest decision is whether to stay and try to make things work or let go.
It is never been an easy decision to make and it could not be. I personally believe that deep down inside we know the answer and we are lacking the courage to do it most of the time. We are postponing things hoping they will work themselves out eventually but most of the time life forces us to do them. At the end of the day it all comes down to a simple truth:
We have to do what we have to do and live with the outcome.
Looking on The Bright Side
It has been amazing three years during which I have learnt, apart from new skills, that I am not as good as I thought and there is plenty of room for improvement. ONMAN is still on the mission to make things happen with three instead of four co-founders. They have got my full support and it will not change over the time I hope.
The beauty of the journey, the people I met, the experience I got are the most precious outcomes of the whole situation which sends me back to the drawing board with the question what's the next step for @ONMANgreg?
Whatever is going to be it will be another adventure with a camera on my side.
