Changes to The GET Board
Guernsey Employment Trust
GET supports disabled and disadvantaged people to prepare for, find and maintain work in Guernsey.
The GET Board and Team feel very privileged to have worked alongside our Non-Executive Director Nick Graham who has left the Board to focus on new projects. Nick reflects “My four years’ spent on the board of GET has been incredibly rewarding in so many ways. I had been approached by Stephen Jones and from the first board meeting I felt included, and comfortable in what was a new environment for me, surrounded by a diverse and impressive group of directors. I was impressed by the governance and the quality of each board meeting, as well as the genuine passion for what is clearly an exceptional charity with a clear defined purpose.
There have been challenges along the way, but I have gained experience and knowledge that I have taken back to my own business and I am grateful for the opportunity given to me. GET is an example of a service that perfectly marries States funding with passionate people and it really does make a difference in the island and in the lives of the individuals it touches.”
GET’s Chair, John Curran says “We are very grateful to Nick for his contribution to the board of GET and his support to the GET team. His deep knowledge and understanding of the employment market in Guernsey has been invaluable to GET and our clients and the organisation is undoubtedly?stronger thanks to his support.”
