There’s more to becoming a professional content creator than simply making content that engages. There’s the boring side too. Like invoicing and managing finances. While many creator platforms offer invoicing services and Link in Bio functions to showcase more work, there are other needs not met, like diversifying revenue streams and creating a sustainable business model. There are also issues like burnout. You can’t create 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With venture capital into the creator economy expected to decline this year, platforms need to offer creators a lot more if they want to survive.?

As mentioned earlier, VC investment is down but that hasn’t deterred creators. It’s estimated there are 303 million creators out there today. While they make the majority of their revenue via brand sponsorship, a few are becoming brands themselves. Check out Chiara Ferragni and her fashion line.
