Imagine growing up in Monterrey, Mexico – a place that's all about turning nothing into something amazing. Well, that's where I'm from, and that spirit of hard work and never giving up runs deep in me. I'm Katy Rodriguez, and I've taken that resilience and turned it into a passion for making a positive difference even in very challenging environments.
I've spent over 15 years diving into the worlds of Social Impact and Diversity and Inclusion, both in non-profits and businesses in Mexico, Spain and now the US. My goal? To mix that determination with smart thinking. Think of me as someone who helps companies succeed and meet their business goals, while also making the world a better place.
Throughout my career, I've designed and implemented programs that help individuals and communities thrive. I'm proud to say these initiatives have helped bridge the educational and economic gap for many. Organizations like the Mexican Center for Philanthropy, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, and the US Business Insurance Magazine have taken notice.
And this is where you come into this story. I'm starting a blog that's all about sharing stories of other changemakers – people with a passion for shaking up the world. People just like you, who are always looking for ways to lift others and support their communities. I believe it's time to shine a spotlight on your remarkable journeys.
But this blog isn't just about stories; it's also about building a community that builds upon collaboration and learning. We know it's not an easy road. There are hurdles, days when giving up seems tempting. My goal is to change that. I want us to create a network where we can learn from each other, and where our shared experiences become tools for the betterment of our communities.
