Change the world on your own?
Some times we clearly see, things need to change. Many of those issues that must change have been listed under the Sustainable Development Goals that have been addressed by the United Nations and are under debate at the World Economic Forum and other Think Tanks such as the initiative for Sustainable Markets headed by the Prince of Wales.
Some time ago I saw a really well done video with the slogan "Follow the Frog". It shows a good person, who is confronted with the injustice of this world and starts moving to solve the problems until he figures out that he cannot cope with it on his own.
The challenge is to be strategic with our engagements, to look for the right partners, to look for the right alliances. This takes time and dedication, but it is also a privilege to be able to contribute to a better world. Young people are asking us now what kind of world we will leave behind. The German Astronaut Alexander Gerst delivered a very nice speech to his grandchildren from space. There is an increasing awareness for the responsibility of leaving a good legacy to the next generations. This is a good moment and a good momentum for us to stop and think.
