Change without Transformation is a False Sacrifice

Change without Transformation is a False Sacrifice

I have found that failing to address character deficiency in one's self is a silent selfish protest against growth in one's life.

Transformation is a metaphysical process which is oft times never completed. Why? Because a change in methods or systems may provide different experiences in the process, but bares no real effect on the final outcome. Too often we look to find the answers to our change on the surface level of our lives. We think that whatever produces the negative in our lives can be easily identified there.

Quite the contrary.

When one strives to achieve transformation, it is arduous and intentional and free from any superficial act. My Bishop once said to become greater or bigger, one must first become better. Better, in this case, translates into transforming how you recognize deficiency, the way you search for its genesis, and what you are willing to invest into becoming greater.

The uncomfortable part of transformation will always occur. It requires a true and honest inward examination, but one that would be gladly done by any persons who want to remain in a pattern of total growth and a lifestyle of all-around progress.
