#Change Thoughts - 1
The world is undergoing a forced "Change" event to reset and restart the "Way of work" and like all "Change" events the process starts with a dip in morale and actions which we have to accept and not consider it as a "dooms day / negative luck / bad event". As 99.9% of the planet believe in God - We must accept and believe this is an event planned and already written in his book and will be for a specific purpose of correction or good for all of us.
Whilst all companies big and small are undergoing huge financial losses it is important for "People" leaders and Heads of functions to come up with financially prudent ways for people to retain their jobs and sustain the gap this event has created in global business. Taking abrupt and rash decisions can also harm all stakeholders if you don't give the "Change" a gestation period (1 to 3 months, depending on your organization and individual ability to sustain).
This is the time to:
- Show equal support to all stakeholders and provide unbiased solutions.
- Be financially prudent, focus on sustainability.
- Be Organizationally Smart and test your Team Work.
- Great time to focus on restructuring processes and systems whilst business is at an all time low or stand still.
- Test your ability to contribute and be an active member of your team "remotely" as this was always going to be the "future of work".
- Reset Performance KPI's and Targets for the "Change" affected verticals and parts of your business and set new targets and goals.
- Propose and Innovate new ways to earn/enable your company to survive the challenges brought about by this global pandemic.
- Use Technology most efficiently, yet securely. Such times are also the perfect dwelling grounds for thieves, hackers and cheats of the world.
These are just some thoughts I wanted to share our of fiduciary responsibility of having access to a broad network of good people...Please do feel free to add more points and share tools, initiatives and smart innovations from your end.
Be safe and be well! God bless us all!
