Success is a continuous journey where there is not any destination. Getting inspired by someone’s journey is easy, but if you want to follow the same path, it is sometimes difficult. Everyone has their own success and failure stories. We can take inspiration from others, but we need to decide our own destinies. It’s not about how much time you have invested, it's all about the dedication and challenges you are willing to take on in your life. Success brings happiness and money brings prosperity. The choice of career can’t start with the money or compensation you are going to get from your job. You should focus on your learning and how confident you are to implement that learning. I always consider money a byproduct of success. Never stop yourself from experimenting with new challenges. To adapt to different ideas, you should be flexible enough to change or better say challenge your current thought process. At the end of the day, adapting to changes in life is difficult, but not impossible. Failure and success are not opposed to each other. Sometimes, failure is the path to success. Whenever we are looking for an unknown destination in Google Maps, we get help from navigation and, as part of the outcome, we get a number of options. Which provides you with different directions and choices of the path you need to follow. We have a quicker option to arrive early, and we have a long route to reach the same destination. Both have their merits and demerits. Shorter routes make your success faster, but taking long routes gives you experience where you are exploring new ways of success. Usually, we follow the conventional way which has a known outcome and we are comfortable.

What did we learn from the Universities apart from subject knowledge? I feel that is listening skills, politeness, adaptability, communication, respect for individuals, and collaboration. Now the question is what is the right age to turn up? I feel there is no bar for age.

Requirements are always getting change based on the Industry dynamics. You need to be agile enough to adopt all those changes in your learning regime.

Previously, it was necessary to have the Manpower to complete any task because few people managed the business plan and strategy. However, as time passes, businesses cross geographical boundaries as well as supply and demand. Industries started looking for more educated people or skilled labor. But it was found that there was a huge difference between institutional education and practical exposure. Now the organization has started providing technical training to workers and management to administrative officials. But once the professionals are trained, they are well placed to be hired by a competitive organization. Employees started switching jobs due to less satisfaction in their current roles. Sometimes it happens as they are not getting better compensation, or their hard work is not recognized or appreciated. Toxic work environments and poor work-life balance are the leading reasons.

But it is still a question that giving training to employees is worth, as they are leaving after having the skills. My response would be, Yes. We should train every employee and motivate them to do better. Any new employee needs 6 months to adopt in the company culture and understand the role and responsibility. But they still need to struggle to find historical changes or dissection made in the past.

In this current era, do you know what is the most important skill you need for your job?

Right Mind Set! Yes, you need the right mind set to accept any kind of challenge you will face in your work or domain. You will learn and perform continuously. We need to ensure our every action is sustained and fulfils the future demand. We should follow the risk-based approach and consider detailed analysis of the pros and cons before adopting any approach. All your inventions and innovation should not destroy environmental balance or harmony.

Different level of skills needed to the industry with time are categorized below,

Level 1 (Beginner) : Institutional Education e.g Diploma, degree, Doctorate

Level 2 (Beginner or early career professional ): Education and Industrial Training

Level 3 (Intermediate): Education, Industrial training, and relevant experience

Level 4 (Managerial): Education, Industrial training, relevant experience and special skill, or additional certification (Six Sigma, Minitab, SAP)

Level 5 (Administrative or Senior management): Right mindset, learning agility, logical approach, idea generation, exploring innovative ways, team building, collaboration, communication, and courage to make decisions. And it includes what we discussed in Level 4.

These are different levels or stages. If you want to succeed and sustain the change, then you need to follow these dynamics. Using automation and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI), we can simplify lots of human effort which is a risk to upcoming job opportunities. We may require minimal human intervention to run any manufacturing institution.??
