Change Is No Longer Constant.

#Artificial Intelligence (AI) with its underlying technologies has shown the extent the human mind can go when constantly engaged. Sometimes I ask this question, “What is technology?” Google will say “the application of scientific knowledge” So, ?“What is scientific knowledge?” again Google says “It is a collection of reliable information about the physical world that is gained through experimentation, data collection, and analysis” Then, “What is reliable information and how do you determine it?” the question can go on and on and the answers will be different depending on who you ask given the different perspectives based on education and experience not minding the universal acceptance of what is called scientific knowledge. There will always be an element of bias, it is just a question of to what extent.
The paradigm shift caused by #AI and future shifts that would ensue shows that human capacity is limitless. Despite what we might have seen in the movie industry, it is yet to be seen what the human mind can accomplish when operating at 100% capacity. One intriguing realization is that everything we now know, and yet to discover about AI originated from the human mind.
#Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) are aided by a database that has access to vast amounts of unstructured datasets hence their ability to wow humans. So, have you wondered why they’re called “artificial”? It is because they mimic the Human Neural Network – the Brain. Can you believe that this all-powerful AI is just a mimic of the human brain’s operational sequence? ?High IQ is just a scratch of what technology experts copied to build the ANN. The human mind when encountered with new challenges switches to solution mode automatically. It taps into every knowledge, experience, and event (Human Database) it can remember to create a pattern to solve the problem.
Isn't it amazing that “Change” which is said to be constant keeps changing? In the recent past we had #Processes, today we have #Process-Optimization aided by various #Visualization Tools. We are redefining almost everything we once held sacred, #Standard-Operating-Procedures (SOPs) are no longer Standard as they keep changing. A brief interview with firms like #Amazon, #Cognizant, #BlackRock, #SAP, #Microsoft, the Banks and now, our dear #OpenAI will give you an idea of where we are headed.
I once read that #Imagination is more important than #Knowledge because knowledge is limited but imagination is limitless. But now that we have a hybrid #Imaginative-Knowledge, can you visualize what can be accomplished by such a mindset? ?Take for instance #Project Work; if each member of a Project Team has such a #mindset and their activities are properly coordinated, what level of work can be achieved? No #Kanban Board will be able to overwhelm them because, at every stage of difficulty, they will #coalesce around it and ensure that the task is pulled down from the Kanban chart.

So, with AI technology still a “black box” and seeing what it is capable of, what is the future of work? and how do we navigate it going forward? One of my mentors, #Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah once said, “The ability to determine what waters to swim in is more important than the ability to swim”. ?Think of it like jumping into a pool filled with the Great White Shark, your swimming skills will do you little or no good compared to knowing beforehand that the pool is shark-infested and not jumping in. This emphasizes the importance of #Strategic #Decision-making over mere competence - #Risk Assessment and Management course work -101.
Consequently, the time we live in calls for greater collaboration in knowledge sharing and the democratization of platforms for such sharing. Experts among us should be more liberal in sharing insightful knowledge that could help others navigate these AI waters in line with the saying, lighting someone else's candle with yours does not put out your candle rather, gives more light to the environment for the benefit of all.
For the #Leaders and those at the forefront of this evolution, bear in mind that a good leader should not superintend over illegality or abuse but rather should provide an enabling environment for others to thrive.
