Lot of times we talk about change, and everyone has a different meaning to it. The “Change” which we always discuss could be
- to make different in some specific
- to make radically diverse
- to give a different situation, course, or direction to
- to undergo a modification
- to become different
- to undergo transformation and transition
There are many studies which are encouraging and showing directions on how change is good and what benefits it can give. Try to read the book “Our Iceberg is Melting” by Dr. John Kotter and Holger Rathgebe. It’s a simple story of a colony of penguins facing a dilemma. But contained within the story and the characters is a powerful message about the fear of change and how to motivate people to face the future and take action. It’s a good read to help individual with 8 steps and their colleagues thrive during tough times. Five major benefits which I experienced in my career by embracing change are:
- Personal growth
- Flexibility
- Strength
- Opportunities
- Overcome fears
I’m sure most of you have many more experiences to share and talk about. The ever changing IT industry and world around us demands flexibility, which requires leaders to embrace change and take risks – without this approach we won’t be able to drive to future with our teams.
What do you think?

4 年Agree Anand. Every change is an opportunity which gives you strength and confidence to face the future. It's very important to adopt the changes, to be on par with our world's requirement. If you keep making small change every day, it will pick you up and drop in a wonderful world of your own improved version and that's a joy to be in.
