It is inevitable, but we don’t have to like it. Change is a natural part of life, but it’s also a constant struggle. Most of us can identify at least one person who has had to deal with a difficult transition: a loved one who has lost a job, a friend who has moved across the country, or a family member who has had to deal with a serious illness. When something bad happens to us, we have to deal with it.

The world is changing. The pace of change is accelerating. The change we are experiencing today is unlike anything our ancestors endured. The changes we face today do not involve traveling to another city or country.

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life. We're all too busy to give much thought to the changes that are occurring all around us. But change is an inevitable part of life. It's the nature of the universe—for everything to move, for everything to be different, for everything to evolve.

There are some constants in the world we live in today. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The temperature drops at night and warms during the day. And, of course, the Earth spins on an axis and orbits the sun.
