Change is good; you go First! (or Second ...)

Technological advance = benefits, and challenges!
A few weeks ago, AT&T, one of the 'big' players of the telecommunications industry in the US and worldwide, announced that Dedicated Internet with T1 and T3 access (T-carrier lines) is set to be discontinued on July 31, 2021 ?? The same path has been taken by other great players like Verizon and Windstream ???
These are technologies from the '60s, a sort of type of dedicated transmission connection between a service provider and a client. Two simple pairs of twisted copper wires get up to 24 virtual phone lines or "channels" on a single physical line. Very well known because of their use for voice service in 'traditional' PBXs (phone systems) in hospitals, schools, hotels; in general in companies with 20 employees or more.
That was a gigantic advance when it came out and for decades, but ... everything change, right? ??
For major business locations in large buildings and large cities, the demand for additional bandwidth plus the carriers’ pricing models has made the cost/benefit analysis for fiber or coax-based Internet connectivity favorable. But, in other situations, the options are not too "clear" and become a challenge ????
We are hearing the scream "Rescue Me!" from many clients to look for alternatives at such short notice.
We love our business, we love connecting businesses. That's is what we do! We connect clients, managers, partners, employees, vendors, information, data.
And we do it with the right phone communication, Internet + Cloud connectivity, and Collaboration solution for each business in town.
- Is your phone system ready to handle SIP trunks (these are the virtual version of an analog phone line)?
- Is your provider capable to provide you "T-1" lines using SIP trunks + converters to fit your phone system?
- Maybe it's time to upgrade not only your 'phone lines' but your phone system too? ... start the way to the cloud perhaps?
- What are the implications of such transition for your business (not only price-wise)? and for your partners?
- What is the time frame that you have, realistically speaking, for this change based on your specific location(s)?
It's one of my favorites quotes: "Change is Good. You go First!" Phone and Internet service providers are giving you as a business owner, the "go second" starting gun because they ARE doing the change first. How do you feel being "second", ah?? ??
How about feeling "first" with the benefits it will bring for your company faced with such inevitable technological change? ??
Enjoy the ride! ??????
