Change is Good (oops! ...did i say that loud?)

Hello again! :D.. not so sure you're still getting the voice in my head... But that's how I started this. We may have heard before, change is good. It is the one thing we hear almost everyday. I don't really want to debate, but to ask generally if we're really open to change.
Successful folk around us (usually) follow a strict routine/regimen. Isn't that contradictory in nature to 'change being constant'. So, to make it still sound like good, it's a positive thing to do. We may actually not look forward to a change. But to cope we say - it's good that there's change. In an attempt to calm our own nerves. Like in the movie 3 Idiots the main protagonist says "AAL IS WELL!".
I also mean to ask, if change is actually needed. Is change really necessary? Does it bring the fresh view point always and provide the best 'mix' to the larger objective?
In my 'humble' opinion, it definitely inevitable. How it turns out depends on our will to cope and our core. A Team, Organization, Individual, Country, Community, Business partners or whatever group of people we may be...we have to see change through.
Change is a 'Leap of Faith' and how strong the faith is, determines how the result may be. And as you may be planning for the next change - the new year, a new plan, project, I wish you find solid ground to jump from and and even firm footing when you land :).
Thank you for your time!
