Hello,

The latest Draftable Legal release is all about enhanced speed, accuracy and reliability, delivering several new features and improvements to streamline your document comparison workflows.

Read on to find out more about the top new features and improvements in our August release – Draftable Legal v24.08.

We’ve also included a sneak preview of our upcoming PowerPoint Redline feature, set for preview release to select customers in October 2024.

Highlights from the latest release:

  1. Enhanced file handling with new email and clipboard options to help users save time when sharing their comparisons.
  2. Sticky preferences for consistent user experience with Next Action selections remaining consistent across viewer sessions.
  3. Accuracy: Improved table comparison algorithm that ensures the output of tables within your documents is easier to read.
  4. Reliability: Automatic repair for input DOCX files reduces the likelihood of comparison failures.
  5. Speed: Optimised speed for text comparisons in Redline outputs so users can complete comparisons faster.

Enhanced file handling with new email and clipboard options

Users can now save time when sharing their comparisons with the ability to rename, convert, and zip all files when emailing or copying them to the clipboard.

This greater flexibility in sharing and managing documents is ideal for workflows requiring frequent document adjustments on the go.

Sticky preferences for consistent user experience

Users no longer need to manually select their Next Action preferences for every comparison, including file selection and conversion preferences. These selections will now be remembered by Draftable across viewer sessions, defaulting to the last selection used.

‘Sticky’ settings ensure your customisations persist, reducing clicks to complete your comparison and making it easier to work consistently across multiple sessions.

Greater accuracy, reliability & speed

  • Accuracy: Our newly updated table comparison algorithm improves column matching accuracy making the output of tables within your documents easier to read.
  • Reliability: We’ve added an auto-repair feature for DOCX documents to automatically correct issues in input files with minor corruption and reduce the likelihood of comparison failures.
  • Speed: Enjoy faster performance in text vs. text comparisons for Redline outputs means you can spend more time on work that matters.

PowerPoint Redline is planned for preview release to select customers in October.
