Change of the employer
Have you received an offer from another company? Offer that you can not let go? Are you a third country national and do you have an Employee Card? Do you know how to proceed further? Many questions, right? But the answers are quiet simple.
The change of the employer must be reported to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and it should be reported no later than 30 days before planned start date – this means that if start date with the new employer is on January 1, you need to file the request by the MoI the latest by December 1!
What documents do you need to provide? Besides completed application form, your employer will also need to provide you with a vacancy number and with a confirmation that your qualification meets the requirements of your new employer. In case you are still working with your current employer, you will need to provide MoI with either confirmation of employment or with your termination letter which would show by which date your current employment would be terminated. You will also need to provide new employment contract.
The application can be submitted at MoI either in person or can be sent by post. The MoI has 30 days to process your application. The decision would be mailed to you (or your legal representative) and also to your new employer.

No, the process above does not apply to you. You do not need to obtain approval prior to starting new position/employment, but you still must inform the MoI within 3 working days after starting new employment.
Do you have a Blue Card?
In this case first two years you must obtain prior approval from MoI in case you want to change your position/employer. Required documents are the same as in case of Employee Card After. After two years of holding a Blue Card you do not have to obtain prior approval, but you have to report the change to the MoI within 3 working days.
