Welcome to the November 2022 Edition!
I greet you?without?expectations, judgements, or biases!
The world needs a tremendous radical change in consciousness. A consciousness not based on "survival of the fittest"; not based on following celebrity gurus; not based on following some form of cultivation of empathy; not based on one where we are always seeking - money, pleasure, or popularity. Rather, one where gravity no longer exists, and oxygen is not guaranteed.
From this, the Happy as Hell podcast was created.
The world feels like a constant TV show, filled with drama, emotions, competition, conflict, and never-ending "I want to be rich" schemes. Fortunately, I turned off the TV well before the pandemic - over 10 years ago now! The news... I catch "headlines" here and there but I have no interest in watching what is happening through other's eyes. I've always wondered why we rely on such a medium to help us be aware of the world when we have all that ability already inside of us? As long as you as sensitive to you, you can feel the whole world. I wonder how many people have ever wondered what lenses they are looking through? How did they get there?
Thank you - Episode 15 of the Happy As Hell Podcast was a blast!
If you haven't yet had a frank conversation with yourself, I recommend you try it - and in video format :D. I did - I went head-to-head in video format for the first time! The script took about 15 minutes to create. It then required me to audio record it, and remove one of the conversations using an editor. I first recorded one side of the conversation whilst "listening" to the other side and pretending he was in Zoom. Then, I switched roles and recorded the second character in the show whilst listening to the video recording of the first. After that, I used a video editor to put it all together and output it as a video file. All together, it might have taken 4 hours?

Compassion at Work - Global Talks
Having experienced just about every workplace drama you could think of (and as many would judge, not nice at all), I am actually grateful. I am grateful and to each person that helped create that drama because it enabled me to see it and finally put an end to it - end to the suffering, stress, anxiety, workplace motivation, leadership behavior, conflict, etc.
Happiness is not something to be treated lightly. The consciousness of the world is your consciousness. We can either keep applying band-aide solutions to be happy whilst being on a "journey", or we can put an end to anything you believe makes you happy by rejecting it all - all the methods, all the ways, all the tips, all the experts, all the advice (including mine). None of it is necessary. Ask the right questions and you will eventually stop asking questions (does it make sense?).
I will be speaking in a number of offline and online events in the coming months about happiness at work, how embracing diversity is the key to getting out of your own way, and discovering what you really are and what is unveiled when you do!
My first talk is at the Agile Online Summit 2022! You can get tickets to the event, here: https://agileonlinesummit.com/aos22_get_your_vip_access

Your question of the month: What can we do to increase awareness of sustainability actions?
Thank you for your question! I think it is an excellent and yet, very complicated question. Why don't try to at least give it "food for thought" in this newsletter, together?
There's no doubt that sustainability is critical in our world, today. It always has been. I think what we are seeing - the call for desperate necessary action has come at a critical time in humanity where we are seeing repercussions of our actions. Actions that are the result of the human mind we have evolved into. We are fragmented, in the sense that we don't see the full picture of the world, or more importantly, our responsibility to it. We are too busy doing things are own way, making a living, and trying to "keep our heads above water". Too concerned with how much success we need to obtain or spoiling ourselves with too much food and hence waste. Or we don't think about how to properly use water, and simple things we can do to save energy turning off lights, etc.
You can spend a billion dollars on sustainability programs and training, but unless you address the core problem, you'll only ever touch the surface.
Humans have been trying to change each other for thousands of years: How can we enforce our ideas onto others so that they may follow? Whether positive or negative, intended or not, this mindset has been destroying humans since the beginning of time, and instead of going into all the reasons we don't have a total awareness of the world and our responsibility to it, let's take a slightly different angle. Why don't we ask what is "ACTION" (in relation to harmonious action)?
There is certainly not enough space in this newsletter to go into this deeply, but ACTION needs to come from a place where the human mind is in order. Order meaning it is not confused. And right now, we see that the human mind is very confused. We have wars, violence, racism, greed, control/authority, nationalism, and all kind of communities and experts presenting all their opinions and ideals upon us. How can we ever have order? You don't have to believe me to see that this is a fact! You can see for yourself what this world is showing you is your mind. All of us.
So first, one must understand to have order, then you must be willing to die to all those things that are conditioning you. You need to end it all. Because if we continue to live our life based on confusion (for which most of us are unknowingly supporting this continued evolution of confusion), how can we ever take the right action to understand our place/our responsibility in taking sustainable actions?
Thank you.
Sending love and light to you and your loved ones.
Warmest,
Gab
