the change challenge: are you game?

the change challenge: are you game?

As we step into September, change is in the air—a reminder that growth often arrives through adaptation. This month, our message revolves around the power of choice in the face of change.

{THE THEME}?

Choosing Into Change.

Change is a constant companion (we can't escape it), allowing us to evolve, adapt, and grow.

It's not about reacting but about choosing.?

Choosing into change empowers us to steer our narrative while reacting surrenders our agency.?

When embrace change as a catalyst for progress, it's our path toward empowerment.

And it's worth saying, that not choosing is also choosing.

So, I'd love to know, what change can you choose into this month?

{SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS}?

Shifting to a New Newsletter Cadence + Format.

Speaking of change, I’m excited to introduce a new rhythm this month. My newsletters will now arrive on the first of every month (vs. bi-weekly), allowing us to delve deeper into topics and provide more resources to support where you are in your life and career.?

Introducing Something New + Special.?

Speaking of announcements, I’m overjoyed to announce my inaugural retreat in Hood River, Oregon, in January 2024.

This is a dream nurtured over time (6 years, to be exact).

"The Light Within Retreat" will be a transformative 4-day experience celebrating reflection, connection, and growth. And it will support those women looking to enter the new year with intention and purpose.

Because 2024 is only 122 days away. Yup, it's true.

This month, I’d love to share a book with you. As someone who is working on her judgy-ness, this was extremely enlightening and mind-expanding.

“Change Your Questions, Change Your Life” by Marliee Adam, PhD

In this book, Marilee Adams reveals the profound impact of the questions we ask ourselves and others. Through 12 powerful tools, she shows how questioning can catalyze transformation in leadership and in personal relationships. Dive into this essential guide for anyone seeking to navigate the ever-changing landscape of our lives.

If you’ve ever wanted to be less judgemental and more curious, THIS is a way.?

{QUOTE OF THE MONTH}

"I stopped waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel. I lit that bitch up myself." - Author Unknown.?

Read that again, and this time, breathe it in.?

A dear client of mine found this and shared it with me this week. And my only reaction was, “F*ck yes!”.?

THIS.?Let this be the guiding light for September and your start to Fall.?

It's a perfect reminder that we don't have to passively wait for a light at the tunnel's end.

Instead, we have the incredible capacity to take charge and illuminate our own path.

The power to shape our future lies within us.

Embrace change, choose empowerment, and light up your way forward.

And with that beautiful segway, I’d like to shamelessly mention my retreat again.?;)

“The Light Within Retreat” is happening in 2024.?

Did I mention we're staying at a luxurious Chateau in the middle of a vineyard?

And we'll have a private chef spoiling us and nurturing us with farm-to-table meals??

This could be a place you call home over a long weekend...?

Our retreat location: a luxurious Chateau in Hood River Valley, OR.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

Lastly, I'll leave you with a few explorations to support you in navigating a new month, this new season, and all the possible changes on the horizon.

  1. Choosing Change: Reflect on an area of your life where you've been contemplating change. What is it that you'd like to transform or improve? Describe this change in detail. What inspired you to consider it? How do you envision your life after making this change?
  2. Navigating with Confidence: Imagine you've already made the change you desire. Visualize yourself confidently navigating this new path. What actions are you taking? How does it feel to embrace this change with assurance? Write down any insights or strategies that come to mind for smoothly transitioning into this new chapter.
  3. Conquering Change-Related Fears: Change often brings about fears and uncertainties. Identify any fears or doubts that are holding you back from making the change you desire. Write them down and acknowledge them. Then, for each fear, challenge it with a positive counterstatement. How can you reframe these fears into opportunities for growth and empowerment?

Cheers to {intentional} change.

With warmth,

Kelly

PS. Wishing you a restful and joyful long holiday weekend.
