Change before you have to
Tomorrow the annual K.E.Y. Platform Conference will start. Two days of inspiration in Seoul, organized by Korean financial daily Money Today. This year less focus on entrepreneurship and more room to discuss the impact of the current geopolitical situation on the business agenda.
Many people, when they look at their industry or global politics, fear uncertainty and call it a crisis. Yet the team of K.E.Y. Platform is convinced that the current international business climate can be turned into an opportunity.
In preparation of this weeks event the journalists of Money Today interviewed over 50 business leaders, scientists and politicians. They used this insight to present the ‘Global Scenario for 2020’ at the conference. In this outlook for the next three years the editorial team urges businesses to fully embrace the digital economy. A society that more and more is based on hyper-connectedness will need a different set-up. Large corporations will try to maintain their status through M&A and joint-ventures with technology companies. The question is: are they still in time or will new service providers with technology in their DNA surpass the household names we once thought were invincible?
