Change Agent or Nag?

Change is constant. Ubiquitous. Inevitable. And, as I wrote last week, sometimes scary.
Saw a great article this morning from HBR. Just one concern with their list of things leaders do to help change: number 2 is Noticing Problems. Leaders will absolutely do this, but there is a fine line to walk here.
Recognizing problems and being an agent for facilitating change is a great characteristic. Being a nag, and crossing the line from being a positive influence who inspires and motivates to one who dogs the heels of those she leads is a formula for disaster. The situation quickly deteriorates and becomes untenable for both the leader and those being led.
