Chance Encounter Redefines Purpose

Chance Encounter Redefines Purpose

Purpose can evolve in an Evergreen company. As the organization grows and matures, so too does the thinking of the Founder and team in defining a Purpose that is not only true but inspiring enough to withstand future economic, market and internal challenges that are inevitable in any organization.

And sometimes purpose comes not directly from the product, service, or the experience you want for your team, but from an external calling. In the case of Tim Heitmann from Double Good, his company's Purpose was redefined after a chance encounter through a letter from a child that inspired him to overhaul his entire business model and donate 50% of his annual sales to charity. It’s a bold move that has brought his company closer together and reinvigorated his entire staff.
