CHAMPION AWARDED ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARD BY ESGR (EMPLOYER SUPPORT OF THE GUARD AND RESERVE

May 6th, 2022 our team had the honor and privilege of being recognized at the Military Employer Recognition Breakfast Event and Riverside Hotel, as part of Port Everglades Fleet Week.

We were awarded?The Above and Beyond Award?which is presented by ESGR State Committees to recognize employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits, and other similar benefits. The award is given in limited numbers by State Committees to employers who have had at least one of their supervisors/managers recognized with a Patriot Award, and who have signed or agree to sign an ESGR Statement of Support.?State Committees are authorized maximum discretion in considering an Above and Beyond Award for Patriot Award nominations of smaller firms,?those with?no individual supervisors specified, and other similar situations.?

Any recognition is never taken lightly, and this is especially important to our team as we pride ourselves on supporting active-duty armed forces and veterans.

ESGR,?link to website, a Department of Defense program, was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.?ESGR has served our country for more than 45 years, fostering a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.?
