The Champagne of Honey

The Champagne of Honey

HERE’S HOW ALASKAN FIREWEED HONEY IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER NATURAL SWEETENER AND WHY IT SHOULD BE A STAPLE IN YOUR HOME.?

Alaskan Fireweed Honey is the product of a beautiful, natural phenomenon.?As all of us know, honey is made when bees pollinate flowers and store its nectar in their honeycombs, but this particular type of honey is different from the rest. Its diverse forms, high quality, and resilience in production are what make?Alaskan Fireweed Honey…?“The Champagne of Honey.”

ALASKAN FIREWEED HONEY IS VAST IN ITS NATURAL PRODUCTION

The state of Alaska boasts?over 800 miles?of fireweed blooms! That is approximately the area of the entire southeast region of the continental United States.?The fireweed flower blooms from early summer to the start of snowfall – making it one of the longest-standing wildflowers in Alaska.?There is a huge variety of the flower, which is why no sample of Alaskan Fireweed Honey looks exactly alike. Fireweed blooms that are richer and darker in color will produce darker honey. Whereas Fireweed with lighter colored and smaller blooms will produce translucent honey.?The differing appearance of?Alaskan Fireweed Honey?can also be attributed to the time during the season in which the flower was pollinated. For example, the blooms that were pollinated earlier in the season will have that darker honey color; whereas those pollinated at the end of the season will appear translucent and more crystalized.?

WHAT MAKES ALASKAN FIREWEED HONEY THE CHAMPAGNE OF HONEY?

Our Alaskan Fireweed Honey is raw, unfiltered, and spun right off of the honeycomb. Nothing is added or infused. We gather the honey from bees that?pollinated Alaskan Fireweeds – so it is one of the most authentic products that we produce. Alaskan Fireweed Honey has a very high nectar concentration and low water content. This allows the honey to crystalize easily due to its pure form.?

Tip: Since this honey crystallizes so easily, we recommend you store it in a consistently warm environment (on top of the refrigerator or beside the stove) to keep it at a liquid level. You can also liquidate it with a heating pad on low or in warm water – but be careful not to burn the honey or zap its enzymes.?

When pairing?Alaskan Fireweed Honey?with your steeped tea of choice, follow these 3 steps for maximum appreciation:

  1. Taste a small amount of the honey by itself
  2. Sip your steeped tea of choice by itself?
  3. Combine the two for a full flavor?
