CHAMBERS FOR BUSINESS

As a small business owner, I have the highs and lows, successes and missed-opportunities that many people in my situation regularly face. But one great move I made was to become a member of Kildare Chamber (of commerce). How can I quantify the value of being a chamber member within the confines of a short article? What I can do is give you a flavour of the advantages of membership and the excellent work the chamber does for all businesses regardless of scale.

My company, All Event Productions Ltd, is a small but profitable technical/creative company specialising in conference, meetings and awards production. We are now moving into the webcasting market so how does Kildare Chamber fit into our plans? The chamber is a vital component in our marketing and business development strategies. Never under-estimate the power of networking face-to-face, as this is how you will both develop trust and make faithful connections with new customers, as well as re-inforcing your current relationships....away from the limited confines of a keyboard.

Chamber membership is a badge of honour. Every time I mention my membership to someone the reaction is always strongly positive. It helps potential clients see me as a serious player in my field and immediately instills a sense of 'safety' and trust.

No matter how big or small your business, never overlook your local chamber!
