Spring has sprung and we are back at St Michael’s Manor this week for our International Women's Day Lunch. In the years we have run this event it has always been a beautiful sunny day and St Michael’s is the perfect venue to enjoy the gorgeous spring weather. It’s always a fabulous event bringing women and men together to celebrate how far we have come in our mission to ensure equity in our society and across the world.
This year's global theme, 'Accelerate Action', emphasizes the urgency in advancing gender equality. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 to reach full gender parity, which is roughly five generations from now. This statistic highlights the critical need to accelerate our actions.
Our speaker, Victoria Humphries , will share with us her inspiring journey being part of the first all-female expedition to the North Pole. She now runs a successful EdTech business, and we look forward to hearing how her experiences have influenced her in her leadership and interactions in the workplace. ?
