The Chamber Voice - St Albans Business Updates - May 2024
St Albans District Chamber of Commerce
Want to grow your business? We provide businesses with the platform to connect with each other through networking events
What a fantastic time we had at the St George’s Day lunch! If you all enjoyed it half as much as I did, you will have had a brilliant time. I’m sure there were a few sore heads the next day! Thank you to everyone who came along, to our sponsors and to the businesses and individuals who kindly donated auction and raffle prizes and, of course, Claire, Emma and Alex and the Board as whole.
It takes a huge amount of effort to ensure the event runs smoothly and everyone did their bit. I hope you enjoyed the choice of speaker/entertainer – he seemed to capture everyone’s attention!?
Nominations are now open for our Community Business Awards. We’ve changed some of the categories this year so please visit our website and get nominating.?
This is my last newsletter as Chamber President. On the 21st May, we are holding a Bingo Night which will also incorporate our AGM and I will be stepping down as President and handing the chains to Cheryl Luzet. It has been such an enjoyable three years, it has flown by. I was elected as President during lockdown which does now feel like a while ago! If, as I hope, I am re-elected onto the Board at the AGM, I will still be around to continue to support wherever I can.
The AGM will be a very small part of the evening and I’m sure the bingo night will be great fun and entertaining for everyone. You can buy tickets via this link.?Thank you for all your support over the term of my Presidency. I look forward to seeing you soon!?
Kind regards,
Pat Strods
