Challenging (mis)perceptions

Challenging (mis)perceptions

Just popped out of the client office and was approached by someone who saw my ID badge. He’d found a card that had the client logo on it and wanted to return it to the rightful owner, so he thought I might be able to help. In fact, not only had he found just one card, he had found an entire purse with cash, European health card, driving licence, lots of bank cards, rail cards – an entire life in one purse. We went back to the office and the rightful owner is now being tracked down so that their belongings can be returned to them. It’s a bright day in MK and this reiterates faith in human nature.

And the cherry on the icing on the cake? The chap is down on his luck and is currently homeless, regularly sitting in the underpass near the train station (he’s the guy with dreadlocks if you’re local to Milton Keynes) as people walk past him like he’s not there. Hopefully, a few more people will take the time to say hello now.
