The Challenges with Brewster

For the last one month I have been facing challenges with a Company and app called Brewster. Although I never signed up, I made the mistake of giving permission (read access) to my Contacts List to check and remove conflicting addresses and numbers as there were many duplicate numbers and names.
I had been alerted by friends that Brewster was sending out mail on my behalf asking my contacts to verify their details. They are doing it again saying "Check Your Popularity?"
I have never sent out mail like this nor have I given them any permission to do so on my behalf.
Please do not click on any message received from Brewster. It is a scam.
Can any one help resolve this issue or share of similar experiences with Brewster. This is getting highly embarrassing.
I will be truly grateful.
All I am doing at the moment is alerting friends not to use Brewster.
Am surprised that in this day and age, there are still companies around who think they can grow their Brand using unethical methods to build their data base. For how long can they survive once they are exposed? Brewster is one such example. Shame on them.
