A Challenge of Trust // Psalm 56:3
By Mark Jordan | Spiritual Advisor
How does today’s verse strike you? For me, it calls to mind all the things I try to trust yet let me down. It’s hard, isn’t it? King David, who wrote this psalm, penned these words when he was captured by the Philistines. Talk about fear! All kinds of things can capture us and leave us scared: health problems, money problems, relationship problems, work problems, and whatever other kinds of problems you encounter. What we find with that kind of fear is a challenge of trust. Are you trusting things of the world or are you trusting God? We tend to trust things that we can tangibly experience, but these are the same things that can disappoint. God won’t disappoint, even though your circumstances might. So, if you are finding yourself filled with fear right now, shift your trust from things of this world to the Creator of all. God will not let you down.
