Three Hundred items.?
No biggie right? Only three hundred items to write for a bucket list challenge. How hard could that be? That's child play, easy-peasy as the taunt goes.
A definition of the psychology of achievement is stated as "…understanding and harnessing the power of motivation, mindset, goal setting, and self-efficacy…(so) individuals can unlock their potential for personal and professional achievement.
In laymen's terms, I had to recognize that problems, set-backs, obstacles and barriers thrown at me are part of the universal solution and not to deny their existence.
The first setback I encountered to start the challenge was in terms of broad objectives. Is the list to define general purpose or specific, smart, objectives?
????
"If you don't like what you see, change it. Next time."
So I set perimeters.
I decided on purpose as it has no set timelines but a pathway to where I'd like to steer my life towards; where I had a semblance of control; where I would feel almighty embarrassed of many of those items but I'd be brutally honest and force myself to write them down anyway;
I started to type away and before long I realized something, I've been here before.
I'd written so much and never completed it. There was this novel I started, sixty four thousand words in, I walked away because it reminded me of failure, staring at it every morning, cursor blinking but stationary, waiting.??
But, I was intensely consumed, insatiably curious and obsessed.
?
I didn't like what I saw and was willing to change it.
?
Go on. How are you overcoming your challenges???
