How did it work? Did I do it all by myself?
We've tried to do it by ourselves initially. However, I never got into the
mindset of doing the work
with the renovations.. I have a day job so I couldn't do any of that. I had to start
with systems in place
Especially after we started doing more than one deal at a time.

IT’S WHAT WE DO CONSISTENTLY.”

The administrative tasks, the marketing, the finding the next deal, the email
correspondence - a lot of those are tedious tasks that have to happen during
the day. I was just juggling all those balls
maybe I can hire someone to help
My wife helped in certain areas. But I think the perfectionist in me wanted to
keep my hands under control over everything. So I did it all myself to make

sure that it all got done. This went on from 2015 until 2018. It literally became
the situation of me being deployed and trying to personally cold call people
night. While I was deployed in the Middle East, I would call back to the United
States, and cold call probate leads. I was like, there's got to be a better way.
Then I ran across a YouTube video with a guy talking about virtual assistants
So I went on Onlinejobs.ph, put a job ad out there, and interviewed a couple of
candidates. It took me a while before I hired my first VA in 2018. However, that
was one of the best decisions that I ever made. Because while I was still
working during the daytime, my teammate was able to do a lot of other tasks
that I would have to do at the end of the day. I no longer would have to try to
go out on my lunch break and take care of things. It really worked out well. I
wish I had made that decision a whole lot sooner.
