Last Week’s Recap:
Last week, we started the Cha-Cha-Cha Dance to help you glide through change with ease and flow. We began with the first step: Reset. It was all about clearing your mind, ditching assumptions, and taking the time to rest so that you’re ready to tackle life’s challenges with fresh energy. Resetting is key when preparing for a major change, as it clears the mental clutter and helps you focus on what truly matters. If you missed it, go back and have a read, because without that step, it’s tough to move forward with confidence.
Now, onto this week’s focus: Research.
Research – Go Julius Caesar on Your Life
When facing change, you need to approach it like Julius Caesar planning his next conquest—strategically and with intent. You’re stepping into new, uncharted territory. Sure, you could wing it and hope for the best, but why would you? You’re not going through all of this just to scrape by—you’re doing it because you want more. So, if you want to get more, you’ve got to put the work in.
This is where research comes in. And before we dive into the nitty-gritty, let me stress one crucial thing:
TELL ONLY YOUR MOST TRUSTED ADVISOR.
While you’re going through this phase of change, you’ll be at your most vulnerable. I know it’s tempting to shout your plans from the rooftops—you’re excited, after all—but here’s the thing: not everyone will be as thrilled as you. Some people just won’t get it. Your goals or dreams might seem too big for them to comprehend, and their own fear or insecurity could lead them to say something that plants a seed of doubt in your mind. And you don’t need that negativity.
They might say things like: "Are you sure that’s realistic?" or "Do people really do that?"
That’s just their fear talking. To avoid this, confide only in the person (or people) who truly have your back—someone who loves you unconditionally and believes in you. This keeps you safe from unnecessary doubts and distractions.
The Art of Research: Asking the Right Questions
Once you’ve got your support system sorted, it’s time to get cracking on your research.
Step 1: Learn to Ask Better Questions
Researching isn’t just about gathering information; it’s about asking the right questions—specific, clear questions that will give you the answers you actually need.
Here are a few examples:

The "Stalker" Strategy (But Without the Restraining Order)
Now, I want you to think back to when you were a teenager and hopelessly smitten with your crush. Be honest—you probably did a bit of research, didn’t you? You found out who their friends were, what they liked, where they hung out. Maybe you even engineered a few “accidental” run-ins. You were relentless.
That’s the same energy you need to bring to this.
But this time, you’re not creeping on someone’s Instagram—you’re after something far more important: your future. Dive into podcasts, books, interviews, and anything else you can get your hands on. Find out how others made it work and how you can apply that to your own life. The good news? There’s no need to worry about getting caught, and no restraining orders will be necessary!
The Price of Change: Are You Ready?
Here’s the truth: change demands everything from you. You’ve got to be fully committed. There’s no room for half-measures here. If you want the rewards, you’ve got to do the legwork. The good news is, the more you research, the better prepared you’ll be for the road ahead.
So this week, your mission is simple: Do your research.
Stay Tuned
Next week, we’ll move onto the next step in the Cha-Cha-Cha Dance—Reach—where we’ll talk about taking action and making that first move. For now, get stuck into the research. This is where the magic begins!
In the meantime, if you want to dive deeper into managing change, I’ve designed two brilliant programmes:
