Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes......
No business is immune to change, whether planned or unplanned, or driven by internal or external factors. Computing and networking hardware is on a never-ending cycle of purchase, obsolescence and upgrade.
It’s no secret that the cloud offers enormous benefits. Clouds provide 24/7 access to business-critical applications, reduced costs from not having to manage the infrastructure and increased agility to more quickly respond to changing market dynamics. But for many, the perception of giving up control isn’t easy.
As your data volumes increase and business requirements change, you’ll need to upgrade your IT hardware at an ever faster clip, especially as you expand operations internationally.
Also, as we know companies are extremely protective of their data. They need assurances before moving it out of their own data centres, where they understand the procedures in place to deter breaches. In addition, they need to keep data within their host country’s borders to comply with legal requirements. This is why companies like mine are spending ££££'s to build global networks of cloud data centres, which allow clients to protect data and remain compliant while managing, accessing and integrating it more effectively.
And, just like most technologies that are considered emerging, businesses will have natural concerns about embracing the cloud. But cloud technologies are providing the platform that companies need today to compete for business tomorrow.
In summary to this mini post, creating a modernised infrastructure in today's fast-changing world is one of the biggest challenges facing IT leaders. We’re living in a fast-paced world, and businesses need the right tools to keep up. Unfortunately, not many businesses are considering whether their infrastructures are built to support today’s innovations.
