In the dynamic environment of CGI's vibrant offices, a significant shift is taking place—one that places a strong emphasis on the health and well-being of its workforce. Recognizing that employees are its most valuable asset, CGI is prioritizing their well-being to foster a culture of productivity, resilience, and fulfillment.

At the heart of this transformation is Julie Godin, a visionary leader who believes that the success of CGI is intricately linked to the health and well-being of its professionals. Determined to make a difference, Julie is spearheading a series of initiatives aimed at promoting mental, physical, and emotional wellness among CGI's workforce.

One such initiative is the creation of the Mental Health Ambassadors network—a network of compassionate volunteers trained to provide peer-to-peer mental health support. With over 800 ambassadors spread across CGI's global operations, this network has become a beacon of hope for employees facing mental health challenges, fostering a culture of openness and support.

Recognizing the importance of early intervention, CGI has introduced mental health awareness training programs, empowering employees to recognize signs of distress in their peers and offer empathetic support. Through these initiatives, CGI not only provides resources but also fosters a community where mental health conversations are welcomed and encouraged.

But CGI's commitment to employee well-being doesn't stop there. Under Julie's leadership, the company has launched the "Well-being Around the World" initiative—a holistic approach to health and wellness designed to empower employees to lead healthier, more balanced lives. Central to this initiative is the creation of the Health and Well-being Center of Expertise called Oxygen—a dedicated hub staffed by a global team of experts focused on enhancing employee well-being.

Through Oxygen, CGI offers a range of resources, including the Member Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential counseling and support for employees and their families. Additionally, the Oxygen Portal serves as an interactive platform, offering a wealth of tools, webinars, and articles to help employees prioritize their health and well-being.

Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, CGI has also launched a health and well-being learning platform, providing employees with on-demand access to a rich library of resources to support their personal and professional growth.

As CGI continues to prioritize employee health and well-being, the results are undeniable. Employees report feeling more supported, engaged, and empowered to take control of their health. With Julie's unwavering leadership and the collective efforts of CGI's dedicated professionals, the company is not only transforming the lives of its employees but also setting a new standard for workplace wellness in the tech industry.

I loved to see this movement happening inside CGI, Smriti Mishra. Thanks for your efforts in all this. "Well-being Around the World"?is a fantastic theme that Julie Godin spearheads. Employees are the human capital and no more resources. CGI prioritizes the well-being of its human capital to foster a culture of fulfillment. That's a rare thing to come across. Productivity and profit are all that matter otherwise. But CGI values people and the planet. I have been advocating for fulfillment for a long time now. Dr. Daniel Goleman has endorsed my book, "Igniting Conscious Leadership - Is It Lying Dormant Within You". This talks about self-leadership and gives away a 5-step conscious leadership framework that is implementable and has an inward and outward-facing approach that incorporates mindfulness and purpose (of employee and organization and how to dovetail them). I would be keen to explore how we can work on this well-being charter with you directly.
