CG-502, Raw Material of Aerogel

CG-502 is ethyl orthosilicate product of Jiangxi Chenguang, also known as tetraethoxysilane, with a silica content of about 28%. This product is widely used in aerogel, coatings, adhesives, sealants, precision casting and other industries.

Aerogel is an important new material for fire protection and heat insulation, and has broad application prospects. Ethyl orthosilicate is a common silicon source in the sol-gel preparation of silica aerogel.

In addition, this product can also be used in the manufacture of chemical-resistant, heat-resistant coatings, silicone solvents and precision casting binders, and is a cross-linking agent for silicone rubber; it can be used in natural stone or other building materials to form inorganic substance similar to silica sol (SiO2) to enhance the strength of the substrate; it can improve the performance of other resins and is also the raw material for the manufacture of silicon polymer compounds; it can be polymerized into silicone resins for varnishes or other surface modifiers; it can also be used in the production of zinc-rich anti-corrosion coatings.

Jiangxi Chenguang has a complete functional silane industry chain, producing trichlorosilane and silicon tetrachloride, and then using silicon tetrachloride to synthesize ethyl orthosilicate. The company has functional silane core production technologies such as high-efficiency catalysis technology for hydrosilylation reaction, continuous automatic production technology, dry method direct recovery technology of hydrogen chloride gas, and is one of the main suppliers of ethyl orthosilicate.
