CFA Society South Africa Drives registrations for the certificate in ESG Investing

With increasing demand from investors for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing, CFA Society South Africa undertook a social media campaign to promote awareness of the?Certificate in ESG Investing?and hosted an information session introducing the certificate to the local market.

As part of the social media campaign, CFA Society South Africa reached out to local investment professionals and CFA charterholders who had earned the certificate and asked them to provide a short testimonial on the value of the certification. Using these testimonials, the local society created a campaign on?LinkedIn?and?Facebook?that promoted the Certificate in ESG Investing.

Through this social media marketing effort, CFA Society South Africa was able to reach a targeted audience and help drive registrations of the certificate. This resulted in 19 new registrations for the Certificate in ESG Investing during the two-month campaign period and 236 click throughs from the post to the website landing page.

Local testimonials used in the social media campaign

The local society also hosted an information session on the Certificate in ESG Investing to introduce the program to the local market, CFA charterholders, charterpendings and other investment professionals. Speakers at the event gave insight on the background of the certificate, curriculum content, exam format, benefits of the certificate, and details on how to register, study and pass the exam. CFA Society South Africa secured 45 attendees at the live event and 15 people have viewed the recorded event on?Asset TV S.A.

In December 2021, CFA Society South Africa recorded 68 registrants for the Certificate in ESG Investing. After the information session, in February 2022, 102 people had registered for the certificate.
