CFA President Keynotes "The Bridging the Cancer Care Gap" Conference in Silver Spring, Maryland

The President of the Constituency for Africa (CFA), Melvin Foote, was the keynote speaker for the 3rd Annual Bridging the Cancer Care Gap, conference organized on Friday morning in Silver Spring, Maryland. This conference which brings together key stake-holders in the battle against cancer, was organized by the Michael & Mauritia Patcha Foundation.

In his remarks, Mr. Foote discussed the mission and goals of the Constituency for Africa; the Global Catalyst Summit that CFA is partnering on to organize with Harvard University in Boston next week that will focus on strategies to address the rapid rise in Cancer and other non-communicable diseases in Africa; and his participation in the planning and launching last month of the Africa Centers for Disease Control in the Headquarters of the African Union in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia.
