CES 2023: Wrapped

That's a wrap: CES 2023.

This past week, the global tech industry came together to connect, gain insights and most importantly be inspired by the technology changing our world for the better.

With 3200+ exhibitors and over 115,000 attendees, the show was a place for opportunity and innovation.

As CES 2023 concludes, here a few highlights! Scroll and enjoy!

Although I barely made a dent in the?more than 3.9 million net square feet of exhibit space, my first CES experience was a success and even more exciting as I was there representing Windsor-Essex, Ontario, Canada alongside partners from Invest WindsorEssex , St. Clair College , University of Windsor , Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA) , Ontario Centre of Innovation , and many more.

Day 1 - From AI, to robots, to VR, to mobility

Day 1 Highlight - The CES unveiling of Project Arrow, Canada's first zero-emission EV. The EV prototype features 25 new technologies, such as connectivity, autonomous drive, a solar roof, carbon capture, AI applications, nanotechnology, telematics, smart cabin control systems, wireless charging capabilities, multi-layered cybersecurity defences, health-monitoring software and a 3D-printed chassis. DYK: 35% of the companies involved in Project Arrow are in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

Day 1 Highlight - As a large agriculture community, I really enjoyed this statement made by John Deere CEO, John C. May . John Deere showcased their robotics-based fertilizer system and a new electric excavator.

“Why should you care about farmers when they represent less than 2% of the U.S. population?” asked John May, the CEO of John Deere, speaking at a keynote today at CES. His answer: because food production is exactly where tech is actually proving its relevance and making a difference. “You will not find two industries that have a larger impact on our world, and all of us, than agriculture, and construction.”

Day 2 - From birds, to EVs, to smart homes.

Day 2 Highlight #1 -- lululab Inc. developed the unique AI-based skin analysis solution series called "Lumini" and its technology and value in the beauty industry has been fully recognized by winning CES Innovation Awards for four consecutive years. 'Lumini Kiosk' is a AI beauty solution in the form of smart mirror that accurately analyzes the entire facial skin in a snap through deep-learning based AI technology and recommends the most suitable skincare products for each user.

Day 2 Highlight #2 - The Vegas Loop was built in 2020 by?Elon Musk’s The Boring Company , with the aim of relieving traffic jams by making an underway highway for ferrying travelers.?

Day 2 Hightlight #3 - One of the more popular parts of CES is called Eureka Park, and it is where you will find startups and inventors with products they're bringing to the world for the first time and you'll see a lot of just about everything there. Absolutely loved seeing the varies countries pavilions promoting their young innovative companies including: Switzerland, Taiwan, Israel, the Netherlands, Japan, Korea and even the United States have their space dedicated to Eureka Park. Next year, we need more Canada!

Day 2 Highlight #4 - The dairy alternatives market has seen substantial growth in recent years. Are these #CES2023 products, including Armored Fresh , a glimpse at the future of milk?

Day 3 Highlight - The newly unveiled RAM electric Revolution truck has several built-in sensors capable of scanning the diver’s biometrics to adjust the seat and mirrors automatically. According to CleanTechnica, the Revolution also features two 14.2-inch touchscreens (one of which is removable), an electro-chromatic glass roof that can darken and an AI function that scans the barcode on a product or measures it with a camera to determine whether it will fit in the truck and where.

Day 3 - From luxury space travel, to shopping in the Metaverse, to virtual twins of the human body.

Day 3 Highlight #1 - A Canadian-based startup, Glüxkind created a lot of buzz at CES with its AI-driven autonomous stroller.

Day 3 Highlight #2 - He doesn't come close to the productivity of the WEtech Adam's but this ADAM is an interactive robot bartender, barista, chef, and more!

A special congratulations to entire CES and Consumer Technology Association teams for hosting such a world-class event.
