Prevention and Early Detection: The Key to Winning the Fight
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, along with regular Pap smears and HPV tests, significantly reduces the risk of developing cervical cancer. Yet, many women around the world are still hesitant to get screened, often due to misinformation, cultural stigma, or lack of awareness.
Celebrities like Eva Longoria, who advocates for women's health issues, and Michelle Obama, who has raised awareness about the importance of healthcare access, have been instrumental in encouraging more women to prioritize their health and get vaccinated or screened for HPV.

So, what is the summary, the Pros and Cons of the awareness or protection cycle are as below:
What Causes Cervical Cancer?
Cervical cancer is primarily caused by persistent infections with certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV), a group of over 200 related viruses. While most HPV infections are harmless and resolve on their own, certain high-risk strains—like HPV-16 and HPV-18—are responsible for approximately 70% of cervical cancer cases worldwide.
The good news? These high-risk HPV strains are preventable through vaccination.

How Do HPV Vaccines Work?
HPV vaccines are designed to protect against the most common high-risk types of the virus. By introducing harmless, virus-like particles into the body, the vaccine stimulates the immune system to recognize and fight off HPV infections if encountered later in life.
There are three widely used HPV vaccines:
These vaccines are most effective when given before any exposure to HPV, which is why they are recommended for preteens (typically ages 9–12) but can also benefit individuals up to 45 years old.
