Certified Management Accountant is a reputed global accreditation being awarded by IMA USA, as a professional certification credential in the management accounting and financial management fields.
Eligibility
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree, in any area, from an accredited college or University
- Students from non-accredited college / university, can get their evaluation from agencies as listed on www.aice-eval.org or www.naces.org/members.php
Further, for verification purpose, transcripts or notarized copy of the marksheets to be mailed to : ICMA, 10 Paragon Drive Suite 1 Montvale, NJ 07645
Note:
A student can write CMA exam even before graduation. However to obtain CMA certification, he/she needs to:
a) complete graduation; and
b) get 2 years of Professional Experience in management accounting and/or financial management.
within 7 years of passing the exam.

Part 1: Financial Planning, Performance, and Analytics

Part 2: Strategic Financial Management
- 20% Financial Statement Analysis
- 20% Corporate Finance
- 25% Decision Analysis
- 10% Risk Management
- 10% Investment Decisions
- 15% Professional Ethics
Note:
a) A student needs to complete both parts in a span of 3 years. Usually students take upto 12 months to complete both parts.
b) 150-170 hours of study per part is recommended.
c) 50 percent pass rate
Fees
REGULAR FEE STRUCTURE
A) For Professional Members:
- CMA Entrance Fee : USD 250
- Exam Fee : USD 415 per part.
B) For Student / Academic Members:
- CMA Entrance Fee : USD 188
- Exam Fee : USD 311 per part.
Note:
a) Entrance Fees is non-refundable.
b) Exam fees is refundable (after deducting USD 25), within 30 days from the date of purchase.
c) IMA membership is to be paid in addition to the aforementioned fees.
d) Each exam registration is valid for only one exam window
Exam Window
Consecutive two months, alternatively

c) September - October
Note: Students can choose to write 'Part 1 and 2' of CMA exam in any order.
