A recent petition filed by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) sought approval for the adoption of tariffs for wind power projects. The petition specifically focused on 1,175 MW wind power projects across several states, which were connected to the interstate transmission system. These projects were selected through a competitive bidding process in line with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power.
Envision Energy India Private Limited has launched its latest innovation, the EN 182/5MW onshore platform, at the prestigious WindEnergy Hamburg 2024 event. This advanced platform is set to revolutionize wind energy production, boosting annual energy output (AEP) by more than 40% compared to the company’s existing EN 156/3.3MW model. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced amendments to the Offshore Wind Energy Lease Rules, 2023, which were originally notified through the Ministry of External Affairs on December 19, 2023. These rules aim to regulate the leasing of offshore areas for the development of offshore wind energy projects under the Territorial Waters, Continental Shelf, Exclusive Economic Zones, and Other Maritime Zones Act of 1976.
The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission issued an order on September 25, 2024, regarding a petition filed by Bharath Wind Farm Limited against the Southern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh (APSPDCL). The petitioner sought the refund of grid support charges amounting to ?120 lakh, paid between April 2022 and March 2024, along with interest.
