Getting to the 6-8 figure range? you want for your business requries 5 stages of team building.
Ultimately,? team is what drives the sustainable growth of your company, and your dream is ALWAYS going to hinge on your team - regardless of where you want to take your business.
These are the 5 stages:
Stage 1: Helpers?
The "helper" stage is typically where every entrepreneur gets started when they start expanding their team. Your helpers are going to be contractors, part-time employees, or what I call tacticians that can help reduce what's on your very-full plate. Think: administrative tasks or things outside your area of expertise.
The main difference between helpers and employees (which we'll talk about) are that these types of team members often work within a defined box. They deliver on very specific outcomes, and you as the CEO need to be the driver of what you want, when you want it, and exactly how you want it done.
Stage 2: Employees
Employees are your first true team members. Once you hit 6-figures, you should absolutely be employing full-timers to go all in on your dream with you. When you commit to not only hiring and developing, but pouring into your employees as an exceptional leader of your organization, you will simultaneously help them to achieve their dreams while working for your company.?

Employees typically operate at a producer level, and execute the fundamentals of each department in order to help the company generate a profitable return.?
Stage 3: Managers?
Once your business reaches 7-figures in revenue, you want to start hiring and developing mid-level managers, who operate one tier above employees. The managers' job is to oversee the day to day activity of your employees, manage tactical tasks and still produce to a degree.
Managers are a critical part of building a well-run company, because without them: your employees won't be as effective. As you scale your business, it's important to think about internal training curriculums, employee development programs, and keeping the workload of your team sustainable?
(PRO TIP: I always recommend following the rule of 5: each manager should maintain 5 or less direct reports to avoid cutting corners and producing average or below-average results).
Stage 4: Division Leaders/Vice Presidents
The next level above your managers are your division leaders (also known as VPs), who often have multiple leaders reporting to them. If your goal is to duplicate, multiply and create LEVERAGE in your company, it's crucial to be hiring and elevating division leaders who can operate from a strategic, directional standpoint.?
Stage 5: Executive Suite
Building out your executive suite should become a focus as you reach the 8-figure mark in your business. This should be comprised of individuals who can pause, recalibrate, and take a look at your business with a strategic and holistic perspective. The goal at this level is to drive profitable growth, versus operating down in the day to day nuances, or "the weeds."?
Your Executive suite will head up and manage multiple division, and should ideally have experience in taking an organization to your desired level.
